Banks to disburse UP scholarships
August 13th, 2012 - 9:17 pm ICT by IANSLucknow, Aug 13 (IANS) Faced with complaints of corruption and irregularities, the Uttar Pradesh government Monday said that scholarships to students from among minorities in per-matric classes will be disbursed through state-run banks.
A government order said new accounts will be opened for the eligible students in the banks. The order will cover students enrolled in madarssas or Islamic seminaries.
