Bank manager shot dead in Jharkhand
July 20th, 2010 - 4:29 pm ICT by IANSRanchi, July 20 (IANS) Unidentified assailants shot dead a bank manager in Jharkhand’s Seraikela district Tuesday, police said.
“Parsuram Singh, posted as manager in Bagbera branch of Gramin Bank of Seraikela district, was shot by bike-borne unidentified criminals,” a police official told IANS over telephone from Seraikela district, around 170 km from Ranchi.
He was rushed to Tata Main Hospital (TMH) of Jamshedpur where he succumbed while undergoing treatment for injuries he had sustained in the attack, the official said.
Singh was going to his office when the criminals fired three bullets at him. The motive behind the murder is not known, police said.
