Bangladeshi arrested for seeking Indian passport
September 21st, 2012 - 9:02 pm ICT by IANSPatna, Sep 21 (IANS) A Bangladeshi who was trying to procure an Indian passport with forged documents has been arrested here along with a local, police said Friday.
Noorul Nabi Hasan was taken into custody and so was Indian Mohammad Shahbul Haque.
Hasan was caught after the passport officials became suspicious and asked him questions he could not answer.
“He was speaking in an unusual Hindi accent and his agent was nervous. Both tried to flee but were nabbed by security guards,” a police officer said.
Hasan reportedly told police that he was trying to go to Saudi Arabia and that he had procured an Indian voter ID card, birth certificate and residential certificate with the help of Haque.
