- Ranchi, July 13 (IANS) A vigilance court Monday rejected the anticipatory bail plea of former minister Enos Ekka, who is absconding after being charged with corruption for having assets worth more than his known sources of income.
Two former ministers Ekka and Harinarayan Rai are absconding since June 27 after a vigilance court issued arrest warrants against them.
Special judge Vinay Kant Khan Monday rejected the anticipatory bail of Ekka.
According to sources, the vigilance department will soon seek permission from court to attach their properties if they fail to surrender.
The vigilance sleuths says that the department discovered disproportionate assets worth Rs.3.73 crore with Ekka and Rs.1.16 crore with Rai.
