Facebook London, July 25 (IANS) A 19-year-old Briton has been sentenced to life in prison for stabbing to death a teenager as she babysat her sister’s two children. The judge ruled that the killer “derived sexual excitement” from the murder.

Catherine Wynter, also 19, was stabbed repeatedly by accused Tony Bushby in January in Borehamwood, Hertfordshire, BBC reported Wednesday.

The judge said Bushby must serve 25 years before being considered for parole.

He said Bushby’s motive for the killing was sexual.

“You derived sexual excitement from the infliction of knife wounds on her. You inflicted stab wounds to the top of each of her thighs. I am currently of the view that you pose a very real danger to women,” the judge said.

The trial heard Wynter had a “secretive” relationship with Bushby, and met him while in college in Watford.

The court heard Bushby created four fictitious friends on Facebook, and used the fictional characters to build up a favourable picture of himself. Friends of Wynter said she fell in love with him, and met in secluded parks and woodland.

Wynter was found in a pool of blood by her mother, Joy Davis, the morning after she died.

She had been looking after her two nieces - aged three and four - and was found lying in the kitchen of her sister’s house in Beech Drive, Borehamwood.

Katie died from a severe wound to the neck and a stab wound to the stomach that penetrated her vital organs. There were 23 stab wounds in total.
