Ayodhya case: Hindu Mahasabha files caveat in Supreme Court
October 11th, 2010 - 11:13 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Oct 11 (IANS) The Akhil Bharat Hindu Mahasabha Monday filed a caveat in the Supreme Court to forestall any order on the Ram Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid title suit without giving it a hearing.
The move came against the backdrop of the All India Muslim Personal Law Board’s legal cell recommending that the Allahabad High Court verdict in the case be challenged.
The caveat was filed by Mahasabha president Swami Chakrapani. Hindu Mahasabha general secretary Indira Tiwari said the organization would also file a petition.
Tiwari said that Hindu Mahasabha was committed to constructing a grand temple at Lord Rama’s birth place, adding they did not favour an out of court settlement of the dispute but a court verdict for the realization of their plans.
The Lucknow bench of the Allahabad High Court Sep 30 trifurcated the disputed land in Ayodhya between Ram Lalla (the deity), the Nirmohi Akhara and the Sunni Central Wakf Board.
