Auto rickshaw driver electrocuted
March 22nd, 2010 - 12:45 pm ICT by IANS ( Leave a comment )New Delhi, March 22 (IANS) A 45-year-old auto rickshaw driver was electrocuted when a high tension wire fell on his vehicle here, police said Monday.
The incident took place around 11.30 p.m. Sunday in Pandav Nagar area of east Delhi when four electric poles came down crashing and a high tension wire fell on the vehicle, a police officer said.
“Ashok was killed while a passenger, Ajay, suffered critical injuries and was being treated at Lal Bahudur Shastri Hospital,” the officer said.
He said power company BSES was investigating the matter to ascertain the cause of accident.
