Atomic department scientist commits suicide
April 11th, 2010 - 7:12 pm ICT by IANSIndore, April 11 (IANS) A scientist of the Raja Ramanna Centre for Advanced Technology (RRCAT) here under the atomic energy department, reportedly committed suicide at his house, police said Sunday.
The body of Tirumala Prasad Tenka, 30 who lived alone in the city’s Rajendra Nagar area, was found late Saturday night by the domestic help, police said. From the body’s condition, it seemed Tenka committed suicide two to three days ago, an official said.
A suicide note, recovered from the flat, said Tenka was taking the extreme step because of “mental torture” by his seniors, Superintendent of Police (CSP) Girish Subhedar told IANS over phone.
“Tenka, who hailed from Andhra Pradesh and was working with RRCAT as a scientist for last five years, has held his senior G.S. Lodha responsible for his plight saying that Lodha had mentally tortured him,” Subhedar said.
Police have registered a case, sent the body for post-mortem examination and are investigating the matter, he said.
