Armed robbery in Noida factory

Noida, Aug 1 (IANS) Five armed robbers shot at a security guard and looted goods worth Rs.50,000 from a factory here, the police said Friday. The incident took place Thursday night in a door manufacturing factory situated in C-67, Sector-8 of this township, a suburb of the national capital.

The robbers gained entry into the factory unobserved. When they were removing goods from the factory, the security guard challenged them, said Jagvir Singh Malik, the officer-in-charge of the Sector-20 police station.

The robbers shot at the security guard and decamped with a computer, a transistor and Rs.15,000 in cash from the office, he added. The guard has been admitted to a hospital here with bullet wounds.
