Apex court’s final hearing on Gujarat Lokayukta March 20
February 3rd, 2012 - 3:17 pm ICT by IANS ( Leave a comment )New Delhi, Feb 3 (IANS) The Supreme Court Friday said it would hold the final hearing on the Gujarat government’s plea challenging the state high court judgment that upheld the appointment of Justice (retd) R.A. Mehta as Lokayukta by the governor March 20.
While admitting the petition, an apex court bench headed by Justice B.S. Chauhan observed: “It raises serious questions of law of public importance and bench would examine it.”
The court posted the matter of final hearing March 20.
