Apex court pulls up Uttar Pradesh over memorials
September 8th, 2009 - 6:13 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Sep 8 (IANS) The Supreme Court Tuesday pulled up the Uttar Pradesh government over the construction of various memorials in Lucknow dedicated to Dalit icon B.R. Ambedkar and Chief Minister Mayawati.
Justice B.N. Agrawal and Justice Aftab Alam asked the state government not to make “any further construction on various properties” in Lucknow which are facing litigation in the Allahabad High Court.
