Anuj Bidve’s body brought back to India
January 7th, 2012 - 6:05 pm ICT by IANSMumbai, Jan 7 (IANS) Slain Indian student Anuj Bidve’s body was brought back to India Saturday by his family members for performing his last rites, a family source said.
The distraught parents of Anuj returned with his body to Mumbai from where they have since left for Pune.
It has not yet been finalized where the funeral will be held later Saturday in Pune, the family source added.
Anuj, 23, an engineering student in Britain, was shot dead Dec 26 in Salford city, in Greater Manchester, while walking with a friend.
Earlier this week, a team of British police visited the family in Pune and met them twice.
Later, Anuj’s parents left for Britain to collect his body.
