Anti-encroachment drive in Chandigarh
November 9th, 2009 - 9:47 pm ICT by IANSChandigarh, Nov 9 (IANS) A massive anti-encroachment drive was carried out here Monday to recover illegally occupied land for the development of the third phase of Chandigarh, officials said.
“This drive was carried out for the removal of leftover unauthorized encroachments on 46.30 acres of illegally grabbed land,” said the official spokesperson here.
The enforcement staff removed 40 structures, two nurseries and five junk dealers. Chandigarh is one of India’s most well planned cities.
