Ansari to represent India at Asia-Europe meeting
October 1st, 2010 - 8:32 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Oct 1 (IANS) Vice President Mohammad Hamid Ansari will represent India at the 8th Asia-Europe meeting in Brussels next week.
Ansari, his wife Salma and senior officials will leave Sunday for Belgium where representatives of 48 countries will take part in the biennial summit from Oct 4.
He will address the first plenary session on global economic governance, after the summit starts.
On the sidelines, Ansari will meet European Council president Herman Von Rompuy and Belgian Prime Minister Yves Leterme.
Pakistan Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi will be also attend the summit but no bilateral meeting has been planned.
