Another warm day in Delhi, mercury set to rise (Lead)
March 24th, 2011 - 9:26 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, March 24 (IANS) With the mercury rising steadily in the national capital over the past few days, it seems Delhiites are in for a harsh summer this year. The maximum temperature Thursday was 33.2 degrees Celsius, two notches above average, and the met office has forecast warmer days ahead.
The minimum temperature was three notches above average at 19.6 degrees Celsius, an official of the India Meteorological department (IMD) said.
The humidity levels oscillated between a high of 64 percent and a low of 27 percent.
According to the IMD, Friday will see clear skies and the maximum and minimum temperature will hover around 34 and 18 degrees Celsius, respectively.
