Another Mumbai blast injured dies, toll 21

Mumbai, July 22 (IANS) The toll in last week’s Mumbai serial blasts reached 21 Friday with another injured succumbing at the Harkisondas Hospital here, officials said.

According to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation’s Disaster Control Centre, the deceased has been identified as Shripad Muzappura, 38.

Injured in the blast at the Opera House, he was admitted to the hospitak in a serious condition and breathed his last late Friday.

Another 128 people were injured July 13 in the three blasts at Zaveri Bazar, Opera House and Dadar Kabutarkhana but some of them have been discharged after treatment.

The death follows that of the critically injured Ashok Bhata, 35, who had succumbed to his injuries at the Sir J.J. Hospital here Tuesday. Last Saturday, another victim, Avinash Tanka , 24, had breathed his last at Bombay Hospital, followed by Babulal Das, 45, who passed away in Saifee Hospital, Sunday.
