New Delhi, Sep 11(IANS) Delhi Police received yet another hoax call Friday warning of a bomb blast in Connaught Place, the heart of the national capital, officials said.
“The call came on a landline of a computer institute whose office is in Connaught Plale at around 9.30 a.m. It threatened that a bomb had been placed in the inner circle of Connaught Place,” a senior police officer said.

“They informed us and immediately police personnel, bomb disposal squads and dog squads were pressed into service. The call was declared a hoax after two hours of extensive research,” the police officer added.

“We are investigating the matter and are trying to find the person who made the call,” he said.

The hoax call Friday comes close on the heels of a series of hoax bomb calls that had sent the police into a tizzy earlier this wee.

A hoax call threatening to blow up the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) headquarters was received Wednesday morning.

Calls warning of bomb blasts had Tuesday affected two busy Delhi Metro stations, two hospitals and three government buildings, including the MCD headquarters. However, in the end, they all turned out to be one big hoax.

The police had Wednesday detained one person whom they suspect had made the hoax calls Tuesday.
