Andy Williams has bladder cancer
November 7th, 2011 - 6:11 am ICT by IANSLondon, Nov 7 (IANS) Singer Andy Williams says he is battling bladder cancer.
The 83-year-old said this to the crowd during his show at the Moon River Theatre in Missouri, reports the mirror.co.uk.
Williams missed a planned stage performance and it was reported that it was due to the undisclosed medical condition. However he received a standing ovation when he appeared and told the crowd that bladder cancer “is no longer a death sentence” and that he would survive.
Williams vowed to return to the stage next September and October to celebrate his 75th anniversary in show business.
