Air Arabia slashes fares on Bangalore-Sharjah route
January 29th, 2009 - 8:18 pm ICT by IANSBangalore, Jan 29 (IANS) Air Arabia Thursday announced new fares for its Bangalore -Sharjah route, starting from Rs.1,340, exclusive of taxes.Air Arabia, a low-cost carrier of the United Arab Emirates, launched services from Sharjah to Bangalore in October 2007 and has recorded an average seat factor of 82 percent, the airline’s commercial department head A.K. Nizar told reporters here.
“We are extremely happy with the positive response we have received from Bangalore. As part of our commitment to the Indian market, we will continue to offer unique packages which would make travel to Sharjah affordable,” he said.
Air Arabia flies directly from its hub in Sharjah to Bangalore, Ahmedabad, Chennai, Jaipur, Kochi, Mumbai, Nagpur, Coimbatore, Thiruvanathapuram, Hyderabad, Kozhikode and Delhi.
“This represents the most comprehensive destination network in India of any Middle Eastern airline, as Air Arabia continues to demonstrate its unmatched commitment to India,” the airline said in a statement.
