AIDS patient commits suicide
July 31st, 2011 - 8:58 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, July 31 (IANS) Depressed over his AIDS infection, a 28-year-old youth allegedly committed suicide by jumping off from the seventh floor of a hospital here Sunday, police said.
The patient identified as Deep Chand, resident of Ghaziabad, was undergoing treatment for tuberculosis and AIDs in the Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital, a police official said.
He was admitted to the hospital a week ago.
His wife said: “Deep had been in depression since he was declared an AIDS patient. This morning he went to the seventh floor and jumped off from there.”
Police have not found any suicide note.
