Guards of the Tamil Nadu special police recovered a BlackBerry mobile phone device from Aggarwal Friday evening when he returned to the jail after attending a court hearing.
He was staying with 13 other co-accused in the jail number 1.
“Soon after we recovered the mobile from Aggarwal, we shifted him from jail number 1 to 4. We are probing the issue, we are yet to know the details on how he got to access of the mobile phone,” Kumar added.
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) arrested Agarwal, co-owner of Kusegaon Realty, March 29. The agency had March 28 carried out searches at the company’s office premises in connection with the alleged money transfer in Mumbai.
