Bharatiya Janata Party Lucknow, Jan 5 (IANS) Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP from Gorakhpur Yogi Adityanath Thursday launched a scathing attack on the party’s Uttar Pradesh leadership, which he entirely blamed for bringing tainted former Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) minister Babu Singh Kushwaha into the party fold.

“The induction of Kushwaha who was facing grave charges of corruption into the BJP fold was not only against the fundamental principles of the party but also in utter contradiction of the campaign undertaken by the top party leadership,” the saffron-clad Adityanath told media persons in Gorakhpur.

“I see a sinister design by some state leaders to give entry to tainted politicians thrown out of BSP or other parties,” he alleged, adding he failed to see how any leader involved in gross corruption as member of the BSP or Samajwadi Party would become honest and straight after joining the BJP.

Asserting he would oppose such a move, Adityanath said: “Such moves were bound to weaken the anti-corruption movement launched by the BJP, which was also spearheading the campaign to bring back India’s black money parked in foreign banks.”
