Adele not to sing for a month!
June 21st, 2011 - 2:38 am ICT by IANSLondon, June 21 (IANS) Singer Adele has been advised not to speak or sing for a whole month after she was diagnosed with laryngitis - swelling and irritation of the voice box.
The “Rolling in The Deep” singer was forced to scrap several dates in the US after a specialist warned her she risked damaging her voice if she performed, reports dailystar.co.uk.
But, after resting for weeks, her throat problems have refused to go away and she has now been banned from performing and even chatting for a full four weeks.
“Adele’s voice is very special. But if she continues to abuse it in the way she has, then she could lose it completely,” said a source.
The star recently quit smoking and drinking in a bid to improve her vocals.
