Nov.7, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Actress Elizabeth Banks is all set to make an guest appearance in the popular American television series ‘Modern Family’. The actress would be playing the character of Mitchell and Cameron’s best friend, Sal in an episode that supposedly would be aired on November 18. Supposedly, Mitchell and Cameron’s character used to spend a lot of time with Sal before they adopted a girl and later Sal starts disliking their daughter as she feels she lost her friends.

‘Modern family” is an half hour mockumentary comedy series that is aired on the ABC network which was premiered in the month of September this year. Since then, the show has gradually gained popularity as it gathered a considerable amount of viewership for itself. The series basically revolves around the lives of three families and highlights the unique daily experiences that they have to encounter. The episode in which Elizabeth is scheduled to appear would also witness the presence of Golden Globe winner and Oscar nominee Edward Norton. Norton would be seen playing the character of Izzy LaFontaine, a musician who is employed by the Claire as an anniversary gift to her husband Phil.

Elizabeth’s presence in the show is expected to boast its ratings and add a certain amount of freshness to the show. However, the actress is known for starring in a number of movies where her work has been highly appreciated. These include The 40-Year-Old Virgin, Seabiscuit, Zack And Miri Make A Porno and a host of other much acclaimed movies. The actress earlier also made few television appearances such as in the TV series Scrubs.
