Accountant shot, looted of Rs.10 lakh
May 21st, 2010 - 11:28 pm ICT by IANSGhaziabad, May 21 (IANS) An accountant was shot dead and looted of Rs.10 lakh by two men in Ghaziabad Friday, police said.
The incident occurred at 6 p.m. on Link road in Ghaziabad bordering Delhi.
The police said Ghanshyam, an accountant with Exotica builder, collected Rs.10 lakh in cash from Surya Marbles. As he moved towards his car, robbers pointed a gun to his head and tried to snatch his bag containing cash.
When Ghanshyam tried to resist, one of the men fired at point blank range at his head. The robbers did not hurt the victim’s driver and sped away in their motorcycle.
The driver took Ghanshyam to Pushpanjali Crossly hospital where the victim was declared “brought dead”.
