AC explosion kills one, hotel denies report
July 9th, 2011 - 6:29 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, July 9 (IANS) One person was killed and another injured when the compressor of an air-conditioner exploded in a hotel in south Delhi Saturday, an official said.
“The incident was reported around 3 p.m. in Qutab Hotel. We have sent five fire tenders to the spot,” a fire department official said.
When contacted by IANS, the hotel denied that any such blast had occurred.
“This is false news as nothing happened. There was a minor blast in cooking gas cylinder and there was no injury,” a hotel official said.
