New Delhi, Jan 19 (IANS) While his father, megastar Amitabh Bachchan is Gujarat’s brand ambassador, actor Abhishek Bachchan could soon be seen promoting Madhya Pradesh, officials said Thursday.

A.K. Bhattacharya, CEO of Eco Tourism Board, said: “Yes, we have sent a proposal to him, and waiting for his response.”

The junior Bachchan has a maternal link to Bhopal as Jaya Bachchan’s parents live in the City of Lakes.

Jaya’s father, Tarun Bhaduri, was a journalist in Madhya Pradesh.

Sources said the proposal sent to Abhishek by Madhya Pradesh government was through Jaya.

Jack Nicholson’s Joker inspires Sanjay

Actor Sanjay Dutt says he drew inspiration from Jack Nicholson’s role as Joker in “Batman” to play his part of villain Kancha Cheena in Karan Johar’s “Agneepath”, releasing Jan 26.

“I loved Jack Nicholson’s Joker in ‘Batman’ and it was on my mind when I was working on Kancha Cheena’s laugh,” said Sanjay.

The actor went bald to get his look right as the villain in the revenge drama, which also features Hrithik Roshan and Priyanka Chopra.

But thanks to his bald look, when he returned home from shooting one day, his twins failed to recognise him, says a source.

His twins — Iqara and Shahraan, couldn’t recognise their dad as they had last seen him with a crown full of hair. But all was well once they heard his voice.

Abhay Goyle to perform for Tihar inmates

Young piano prodigy Abhay Goyle is set to do stage a concert for inmates of Tihar Jail for Republic Day.

The event, to be held at the Tihar Jail premises Jan 25, is being organised to infuse a feeling of patriotism in the inmates.

The 16-year-old will play patriotic songs as well as some popular Bollywood numbers to entertain his unique audience.
