Abducted minor rescued by police
December 9th, 2011 - 11:55 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Dec 9 (IANS) An 11-year-old girl, who was abducted in the capital and raped later, has been rescued from Mathura city of Uttar Pradesh, police said Friday.
The girl went missing from south Delhi’s Fatehpur Beri Dec 3.
On Dec 6, police came to know that last time she was seen with a person on the way to Mathura.
“A police team was rushed to Mathura from where the girl was Dec 7 rescued from the clutches of the accused, identified as Tejpal, 25, a resident of Mathura,” said a police officer.
The victim stated that she was kidnapped by the accused and was taken to Mathura where she was raped.
The medical examination of the girl has confirmed rape, said police.
Tejpal has been arrested.
