Aban Offshore bags $18 mn contract

New Delhi, Sep 8 (IANS) India’s leading offshore drilling contractor Aban Offshore Monday said it has won a contract for the deployment of the new build jack-up rig Deep Driller seven offshore in Thailand.The estimated revenue from the contract is $18 million (Rs.792 million), a company statement said.

The project is for a firm period of three months that has an extendable tenure of up to six months, it added.

The rig is likely to start mobilising to the location during the second week of this month.
