A taste of Bollywood at CWG closing ceremony
October 14th, 2010 - 11:16 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Oct 14 (IANS) Some of India’s best singers took centre stage at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium Thursday evening to put a closure to the 19th Commonwealth Games.
Kailash Kher started off with his famous song- “Allah ke banday” - bringing the crowd to its feet as dancers dressed in multi-hued dresses gyrated to his tunes.
Singers Sukhwinder, Ila Arun, Usha Uthup and Raghav Sachar followed with their famous numbers as popular Bollywood songs were belted out from Hindi movies “Rang de Basanti” and “Ishqiya”.
Popular sufi singer Zila Khan and famed percussionist Sivamani also performed at the glittering ceremony.
