Sydney, Sep 13 (IANS) If you are one of those who worry about mounting water bills or are a plain water conservationist, a special shower in Japan may have been made with you in mind.

At the “Eco Ideas House” in Odaiba, Tokyo, you need do nothing more than sit down in this special shower. Its specially-designed arms are designed to spray the entire body with water simultaneously while using just six litres per minute. That’s about half of what a regular shower uses, news.com.au reported.

However, if you wish to wet and wash your face and hair also, there’s a separate showerhead for that.

The “Eco Ideas House” is a concept home designed to conserve as much natural resources as possible.

Other eco ideas in the house include 22 solar panels on the roof and a “natural” air conditioning system which draws in air from under the floor.

Moreover, a television screen in the lounge room shows how much energy is being generated and used by different parts of the house at a given time.

There’s an electric car and recharging pump in the garage.

Created by Panasonic at its centre in Tokyo, this house is meant to showcase environment-friendly technologies.

The company hopes to incorporate some of these technologies into “smart cities” projects under way in Japan, China and Singapore.
