A forest ranger owns property worth over Rs.4 crore!
September 8th, 2010 - 10:50 pm ICT by IANSRaipur, Sep 8 (IANS) Simultaneous raids carried out by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) Wednesday at various locations in Chhattisgarh revealed that a forest ranger owned moveable and immoveable properties valued at around Rs.42 million (Rs.4 crore), officials here said.
The ACB sleuths conducted raids at two locations of forest official Harish Pandey and seized papers showing that he has several houses in high-cost areas in capital Raipur besides several acres of land on the outskirts of the state capital.
“We are analysing papers and details found during the raids but as of now I can say the forest official owns property moveable and immovable worth Rs.42 million,” D.M. Awasthi, inspector general in ACB, told reporters.
