A bride with 1.8-mile long veil
September 24th, 2011 - 8:28 pm ICT by IANSLondon, Sep 24 (IANS) A bride in Italy wore a veil that was an astounding 1.8 miles (2.88 km) long and 600 people were needed to carry it.
Elena De Angelis wore the world’s longest veil when she walked down the aisle, The Sun reported.
As many 600 people helped carry the headpiece when she married Ferdinand Pucci in Casal di Principe, Naples, Italy.
De Angelis travelled to the church in a vintage car wearing the veil which was two metres wide.
Designed by Gianni Molaro Campania, it has now entered the Guiness World Records.
“I was really grateful to be asked to design this veil. I met tens of thousands of people on the way to the church who complimented my idea,” Molaro was quoted as saying.
