71-year-old found chained to bed in Mexico
January 9th, 2012 - 4:08 am ICT by IANSMexico City, Jan 9 (IANS/EFE) A 71-year-old man, suspected to be an alcoholic, was found chained to bed in Mexico, police said.
The man was rescued in Mexicali, capital of the northwestern state of Baja California.
Media reports said the man had been drinking alcohol since Dec 22 and refused to stop. So his companion chained him up to stop the boozing.
Officials of the Mexicali police force’s domestic violence unit rushed to the scene after hearing from the man’s son.
