Parabhu Lal, a Municipal Corporation of Delhi employee, died at the Lal Bahdur Hospital Wednesday morning during treatment, a senior police officer said.

Most of the victims ate buckwheat flour items Monday when breaking the day-long fast observed as part of Navratri celebrations. They bought the flour, which was manufactured at the mill in Mandawali in east Delhi, from local shops.
“To end the fast, people consumed buckwheat flour (kuttu ka atta) Monday night. By Tuesday more than 200 people were affected by food poisoning,” said a senior police officer.
“They purchased unpacked flour. Nandu Masala Mill in Mandawali has been found to be the manufacturer of the flour consumed by victims,” said Delhi Police spokesperson Rajan Bhagat.
Most of the victims are from Nandnagari, Gokulpuri, Jagatpuri, Gandhi Nagar, Kalyanpuri, Trilokpuri and Chilla Gaon in east Delhi.
They were rushed to Lal Bahadur Shastri Hospital, Hedgewar Hospital, Guru Tej Bahadur Hospital, Jag Pravesh Hospital and a few private hospitals.
