45 injured in train crash in Turkey

Ankara, Feb 23 (Xinhua) At least 45 people were injured when a cargo train collided with another train in central Turkey early Saturday, the semi-official Anatolia news agency reported. The Turkish Railways general directorate was quoted as saying that a cargo train heading from Ankara to the eastern province of Malatya violated the red signal and collided with another passenger train in Sarkisla town of the central Anatolian province of Sivas at 6.20 a.m.

The injured were immediately taken to hospitals for treatment, added the general directorate.
