40 landmines recovered in Jharkhand
February 1st, 2012 - 7:58 pm ICT by IANSRanchi, Feb 1 (IANS) Police recovered 40 landmines and destroyed two Maoist bunkers-cum-training centres in Jharkhand’s Garwah district Wednesday, an official said.
“Police have recovered 40 landmines and destroyed two Maoist bunkers-cum-training centres in Garwah district,” a police official told IANS.
According to the official, an anti-Maoist operation was on for a week in Sania jungle, which borders areas of Latehar and Garwah district.
Police recovered five hand grenades, two pistols, one rifle and fuse wires from the bunkers.
