40 kg bomb, four landmines recovered in Jharkhand
January 27th, 2011 - 8:30 pm ICT by IANSRanchi, Jan 27 (IANS) A 40 kg cylinder bomb, four landmines and other explosives were recovered during an anti-Maoist operation by the security forces in Jharkhand’s Chatra district Thursday, police said.
The bomb — planted on the roadside to target vehicles of the security forces, landmines, 90 metre wire, and four detonators were found in a joint operation of the state police and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) in Kothari jungle under Lawalong police station.
Chatra district is around 170 km from Ranchi.
