34 killed in Afghan bus accident
August 20th, 2011 - 2:24 pm ICT by IANSKabul, Aug 20 (IANS) Thirty-four people were killed and 24 others were injured Saturday when the passenger bus in which they were travelling turned turtle in southern Afghanistan’s Kandahar province, Xinhua reported.
The accident occurred in Daman district when the bus was on its way to Kabul.
Provincial government spokesman Zalmai Ayubi said 34 people were killed and 24 others were injured.
Ayubi blamed reckless driving for the accident.
