November 16th, 2009 - 10:10 pm ICT by IANS Tell a Friend -

Raipur, Nov 16 (IANS) At least 30 kg of improvised explosive devices (IED) buried by suspected Maoist rebels were recovered in a forested stretch in Chhattisgarh, police said.
The explosives were buried in Madanwara forest in Rajnandgaon district, some 150 km west from here, close to Maharashtra border, where 29 policemen including the district police chief were killed by the rebels in July this year.

“We suspect that more such bombs are buried in the area with a purpose to hit policemen. Our search parties are combing the area with the help of experts to recover such bombs,” Praveer Das, Rajnandgaon superintendent of police, told IANS.
