26/11 reminds us of our perilous neighbourhood: Antony
November 26th, 2010 - 9:00 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Nov 26 (IANS) Defence Minister A.K. Antony Friday said the mayhem that 10 Pakistani terrorists unleashed in Mumbai two years ago reminds India about the “perilous state of our neighbourhood”.
In a message on the second anniversary of the 2008 attack that killed 166 people, Antony reiterated “the nation’s resolve not to allow a repeat of 26/11-type mayhem by terrorists in the country”.
“It is a grim reminder of the volatile and perilous state of our neighbourhood and, thereby, the need for constant vigil,” the defence minister said.
He said his thoughts go out to the families of the victims and the “extraordinarily brave security personnel who lost their lives in the carnage”.
