26 die in road accident (Lead)
February 8th, 2012 - 2:46 pm ICT by IANSAgra, Feb 8 (IANS) A packed mini bus and a truck collided in Uttar Pradesh, killing the bus driver and its 25 passengers who were proceeding to attend an event related to a wedding, police said Wednesday.
The accident took place Tuesday evening in Mainpuri district, 120 km from here. A dozen others were injured.
The seriously injured were taken to Agra’s S.N. Medical College Hospital.
Police said the mini bus was headed to Etah district where the dead were to participate in the engagement ceremony of a young woman.
