25-year-old man beaten to death in Delhi

- New Delhi, Nov 16 (IANS) A 25-year-old man was beaten to death by a group of men in Tilak Nagar in West Delhi Sunday after an argument over a stolen cycle rickshaw, police said Monday.
“The deceased, Girish Kumar, who was a hawker, was helping his friend Dilip in searching his rickshaw which was stolen a few days ago. On Sunday, the duo went to Subhash Nagar locality in Tilak Nagar area,” a senior police officer said.
“They asked some youths if they have any information about it. However, they soon entered into an argument. The youth allegedly beat them with iron rods,” the police officer added.
A passerby informed police who took the two injured men to the Deen Dayal Upadhayay Hospital.
“Girish Kumar was declared brought dead. Dilip suffered serious injuries and is undergoing treatment,” the officer said.
“We have recorded Dilip’s statement and the culprits have been identified. They will be arrested soon,” the officer added.
