25 school students injured as bus overturns
February 1st, 2011 - 9:01 pm ICT by IANSRanchi, Feb 1 (IANS) At least 25 students were injured when the bus they were travelling in skidded off the road and overturned here Tuesday, police said.The children, studying in Saraswati Sishu Mandir in Hazaribagh, were going to the Johna waterfall situated at Sikidiri area of Ranchi district.
However, the school bus developed a technical snag and the children were shifted to another bus.
“The driver of the bus seemed to be drunk and lost control,” a police officer said.
The injured students have been admitted to a local hospital and the condition of two is serious, he added.
