25 injured in Gurgaon hotel explosion
December 17th, 2010 - 10:57 pm ICT by IANSGurgaon, Dec 17 (IANS) At least 25 people were injured Friday when gas leakage resulted in an explosion in a five star hotel in this suburban town of the national capital, police said. “The leakage was reported at 1:30 pm from the ground floor of Hotel Fortune Select Global on the Mehrauli-Gurgaon Road,” said Gurgaon Deputy Commissioner of Police (east) Vikas Arora.
“At least 25 employees of the hotel suffered burn injuries. They were rushed to a nearby hospital. Those who were in a serious condition were referred to the Safdarjung Hospital and the Lok Nayak Hospital in Delhi,” Arora added.
A case of negligence has been registered against the hotel.
