18 killed in Pakistan drone strikes
June 16th, 2011 - 10:48 am ICT by IANSIslamabad, June 16 (IANS) At least 18 suspected militants have been killed in three drone strikes in northwest Pakistan bordering Afghanistan, a media report said.
Dawn News said four missiles hit a vehicle carrying the suspected militants some 10 km east of Miranshah, the headquarters of the North Waziristan area, Wednesday.
All eight people on board the vehicle were killed.
Ten more people were killed Wednesday when drones targeted two houses in South Waziristan, Xinhua said.
More than 30 drone strikes have taken place in Pakistan this year, killing around 250 suspected militants.
