17 dead, 15 injured in Bolivia road accident

La Paz, June 2 (DPA) At least 17 people died, three remained missing and 15 were injured as a bus crashed in Bolivia, the police said. The accident occurred on the highway between La Asunta and Chulumani Sunday, some 170 km north-west of the Bolivian capital.
The bus was headed for La Paz and crashed in the area of the Yungas, among valleys which specialise in the production of coca leaves and citrus fruits for the markets in Bolivia’s administrative capital.
