16 killed in Kashmir road accident
August 20th, 2011 - 7:24 pm ICT by IANSJammu, Aug 20 (IANS) At least 16 people were killed and 15 others were injured when their bus skidded off the road and fell into a gorge in Jammu and Kashmir Saturday.
The accident happened at Madana, about 220 km north of here, when the bus was on its way to Poonch district from Surankote town.
Twelve people died on the spot. Four others succumbed to their injuries in hospital later.
Those critically injured had been shifted to Jammu, Senior Superintendent of Police(Poonch), Ashkoor Wani told reporters.
