14 killed over land dispute in Pakistan
December 29th, 2011 - 10:40 pm ICT by IANSIslamabad, Dec 29 (IANS) At least 14 people were killed Thursday over a land dispute between two families in Pakistan’s Gujranwala city, police said.
Police official Ahmed Mubarak said members of the Javed family opened fire at rival family Saifullah’s house, killing two people.
In retaliation, the Saifullah family set ablaze three houses of the Javed family that killed at least 12 people, Geo News reported.
Police said many of the casualties occurred due to suffocation.
