Colombo, Aug 28 (IANS) At least 122 Sri Lankan soldiers attached to a training base in the Eastern Amparai district were hospitalized Thursday morning immediately after their breakfast due to food poisoning, military sources here said. Military spokesman Brigadier Udaya Nanayakkara said these newly recruited soldiers were undergoing training at Henanigala army camp at Dehiattakandiya in the Amparai district, located some 350 km east of here, when the incident took place.

At least 122 soldiers undergoing training there vomited and fainted immediately after their breakfast Thursday and were rushed to the Dehiattakandiya hospital, Brig. Nanayakkara told IANS.
